Santa Lucia Preserve

Santa Lucia Preserve's 20,000 acres, originally Rancho San Carlos, were fused together from Old Mexican land grants and held intact by the families who owned the Ranch from 1857 to 1990. Despite the famed real estate in nearby Pebble Beach and Carmel, this private enclave remained relatively unknown, untouched, and hidden from the world by the Santa Lucia Mountains that tower over the Pacific at Big Sur.

Under the guardianship of the Santa Lucia Conservancy since 1990, 90 percent of The Preserve's native landscape is permanently protected for generations to come. Just 300 Residents and their guests enjoy The Preserve's lifestyle, including a Tom Fazio golf course, an extensive sports and aquatic center, full-service equestrian facilities, and elegant lodging and dining at The Ranch Club's restored 1920's Hacienda. The Preserve Land Company offers the opportunity to join the Preserve Community by purchasing completed homes or estate parcels that are offered for sale.
