It is hard to imagine a hiking venue as vast and varied as The Preserve, in part because every hike can be so completely different. With thousands of feet of elevation change and a coastal setting, one can meander redwood groves and gnarled oak studded grasslands one day and the next day skirt ridge tops looking over the clouds to the Pacific beyond. And if not on foot, all the miles beckon a mountain bike or horseback ride.
